Matthew Spain holds a Masters of International Relations in Political Violence and Counterterrorism from Monash University. He has also completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics and History from Monash University. He is an infantry reservist and currently works at the Department of Defence.
Matthew has also worked at Monash University in their Advancement Division, assisting disadvantaged students to gain scholarships in the pursuit of tertiary education. He writes fortnightly on topic concerning international relations, geopolitics, and Australian domestic politics. He is a self-described economic centrist, a social libertarian, and a foreign policy realist. His views are his own and are not reflective of government or university policy.
